Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association

The Florida State student chapter of the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association (FRLA) introduces its members to various restaurant businesses and resort hotels in major cities of the Southeast while building their network contacts and introducing them to a real-life work environment through its networking trips.

Meetings:
Monthly, first Wednesday

Meetings are held monthly and take place on the first Wednesday of every month. Meetings can vary depending on the semester, but meetings can consist of resume workshops, guest speakers, and preparing for our spring site visit. Site visits are conducted typically 1-2 times per school year and involve a weekend trip to tour hotels or restaurants in the southeast area. In the past, FRLA has toured the Orlando area including hotels such as the Caribe Royale and the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin.

FRLA is a great opportunity to expose students to the professionalism and networking skills required to succeed in the Hospitality world. It is also a great way for students to connect with fellow classmates and gain a better idea of where their future careers could take them!
