Club Management Association of America

The Florida State University Chapter of the Club Management Association of America (CMAA) gives students the opportunity to explore the club management industry through immersive experiences, educational meetings, professional development workshops, club tours, and access to national resources and conferences. Members gain valuable industry insight, develop leadership and communication skills, and build meaningful connections with club management professionals and fellow students.

Throughout the year, CMAA hosts a variety of professional and educational events, including Private Club Speaker Panels featuring General Managers, recruiters, and other industry professionals. Members also participate in career and interview preparation workshops, including opportunities to connect with club professionals during the Dedman Career & Internship Expo. These experiences help students build confidence and prepare for internships and careers in the club management industry.

Meetings:

CMAA meets bi-weekly at 6:30 p.m. at the Seminole Legacy Golf Course, with additional social events held at the Day Center and off campus.

Students can also participate in the CMAA Fall Club Tour, which provides an inside look at private club operations and allows members to connect directly with industry professionals. Members have the opportunity to attend national conferences, including the National Student Education Conference (NSEC) and the CMAA World Conference, where they can network with club professionals and students from across the country.
