Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) at Florida State University is a professional organization within the Dedman College of Hospitality that unites students who share a passion for the sales and marketing side of the hospitality industry.
HSMAI meets bi-weekly on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings at the Dedman College of Hospitality. During meetings, members engage in interactive discussions, participate in professional development workshops, and hear directly from guest speakers representing various sectors of the hospitality field. These sessions focus on current industry trends, professional growth, and valuable career insights that prepare students for success in their future endeavors.

Signature events hosted by HSMAI include interview preparation sessions, LinkedIn and networking workshops, elevator pitch training, and our flagship event, Passport to Hospitality—an engaging involvement fair that showcases all of Dedman’s student organizations. This event offers students the opportunity to connect with peers, explore different areas within hospitality, and find organizations that align with their interests.
Above all, HSMAI provides a welcoming community for like-minded individuals eager to develop their skills, expand their professional network, and discover their passions within hospitality sales and marketing.
