Dr. Becky Liu-Lastres is an Associate Professor in the Dedman College of Hospitality at Florida State University. Her research focuses on risk and crisis communication and management, as well as workforce dynamics and employee well-being. The goal of her work is to ensure the safety and well-being of tourists, organizations, and other key stakeholders within the tourism and hospitality industry. She has been recognized for her scholarship with multiple honors, including best paper awards and outstanding researcher distinctions.

At Florida State, Dr. Liu-Lastres is passionate about bridging research and practice by working with industry and community partners to address pressing challenges in tourism and hospitality. She is also a dedicated educator, committed to preparing the next generation of hospitality leaders with strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
