The Event Management major prepares you for a dynamic career in conferences, festivals, weddings, sports events, corporate meetings and large‑scale community gatherings. Our curriculum covers event planning and coordination, marketing and promotion, budgeting and financial management, and the use of technology in event management. You’ll work with industry professionals through internships and real projects to gain practical experience.
Gain at least 1,000 hours of industry work experience with a minimum of 250 hours in an approved internship

Complete core courses in hospitality financial analysis, leadership & ethics, integrated marketing and a management internship

Enter roles such as event manager, conference services manager, festival director, experiential marketing manager and catering & events coordinator

Real‑world experiences are integral to your success. Work experience can be completed in hotels, restaurants, private clubs, event companies, theme parks and more. At least 250 hours must be in an approved internship providing exposure to multiple positions and a management shadowing component.
