Bob Branciforte, who joined the staff of the Dedman School of Hospitality in 2013, has been with Florida State University since March 2000.
He began his Seminole years as an accounting manager with FSU University Housing before becoming the communications director for the School of Information, where he earned his master’s degree in library and information studies (MLIS) in 2009.
When Florida State’s School of Information merged into the College of Communication and Information in July 2009, Bob took on communication and marketing roles as the college’s creative director. In 2013, he was hired by the FSU College of Business as marketing coordinator for the Dedman School of Hospitality. In 2017, the school became a free-standing institution under the FSU Office of the Provost.
Bob’s holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and business administration from the College of Staten Island, City University of New York. He also enjoyed a two-year program in layout and production design at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale.
Bringing a broad swath of experience to everything he covers, Bob has been a writer/editor for Tribune Corporation, an accountant/auditor for CPA firms in New York City and the Fort Lauderdale area, a freelance musician, graphic designer, and writer.
As marketing coordinator at the Dedman School of Hospitality, Bob is responsible for marketing, communications, social media, website content management, design, and photography.
